At Theatre NOW, we see the world as a place shared by generations of stories, sewn into a patchwork of love, pain and laughter. We value, above all things, the opportunity for one generation to learn from another, binding us and connecting us.
Eighty-six year old widower Mr. Green is almost hit by a car driven by young corporate executive Ross Gardiner. Found guilty of reckless driving, Ross is ordered to spend the next six months making weekly visits to Mr. Green. What starts off as a comedy about two men who resent being in the same room together, develops into a drama with tremulous vulnerability, traveling with the characters from antagonism and condescension to disgust, distress and finally acceptance.
This touching story tackles issues such as aging, dementia, love, spirituality and sexuality inspired once again through our mission of family and generations.
